Cherry varieties

  • Oval. Soft, not fibrous, fairly juicy. Fair to good quality.
  • An attractive red tart cherry which can also be eaten fresh.
  • Heart-shaped. Very firm, juicy sweet and slightly acid.
  • Oblong. Moderately firm, very juicy and sweet.
  • Sweet. Good flavour.
  • Roundish-oval. Soft, fibrous, moderately juicy, sweet. Fair quality.
  • Heart-shaped. Firm, fibrous, sweet, not very juicy. Flavour excellent (considered one of the best in the world by connossieurs.)
  • Roundish-heart shaped. Firm, crisp, very juicy, aromatic, very good flavour. Stone semi-free.
