All about apples, pears, plums, and cherries - and orchards where they are grown

Cummins Nursery

A family run nursery located just outside Ithaca, New York, with one of the best fruit-growing soils in the world -- Howard's Gravelly Loam.  Cummins Nursery specialises in custom-grown trees, 2 year budded or 1 year grafts, and are also able to offer trees on a number of specialist rootstocks.

They are also able to propagate new trees for you, using grafts taken from any apple variety that you can obtain graftwood (winter) or budwood (summer) for.  This is a great way to preserve the flavour of an old apple tree that is past its best, or if you are moving house and want to take a bit of a favourite apple tree to your new home.

Of interest to cider drinkers, Cummins Nursery also has an extensive range of both English and Colonial cider apple varieties (including Kingston Black and Dabinett), and some Perry pear varieties.
