Malus floribunda is a species of crab-apple, often known as the Japanese crab-apple. The profuse blossom is pink when it starts, opening to white - similar to most regular apple varieties.
Malus floribunda has been used by researchers in the development of a number of modern apple varieties, because it has natural resistance to scab, a common disease of mainstream apples
Also known as
- Japanese crab
