Maybe I had a poor apple, but mine was not great; pretty sweet and a little bland.

It was one of my favorites from the 2011 Home Orchard Society All About Fruit show. I had them make a tree for me which is now growing in my yard.

These are the best tasting apples I have ever had. Bought a box of these on our way home from Lake Chelan fresh fromt he orchard. they are heavenly. Sweet, with just a touch or tartness. Making apple pies today!

Love the subtle sweetness of tsugaru. I feel it is the best variety.
