Lapins is a highly productive, and flavorful cherry. It has a tendency to set fruit in tight clusters. Its biggest drawback is the incidence of black rot inside those tight clusters of fruit. The sprays just can not reach into the center of those clusters. There are a lot of commercial Lapins cherry orchards, but no Lapins orchards are being planted today because of this one drawback.
