Not unpleasant, but definitely NOT a true Mac...Has appearance of a Delicious, peaked bottom around the core. And is sweeter and crunchier than a Mac, again more like a Delicious. close to fraud or deception to not mention the obvious cross with a delicious.

A true Macintosh lover will be disappointed with Aceymac. Taste and texture suggests a cross with Golden Delicious: less tart, bright and flavorful; and often less crisp and juicy, with flesh less white and with a distinct Delicious-like narrowing to the base vs. the round profile of a Mac. Unfortunately, they are often sold in plastic bags in local supermarkets as Macintosh - and it is often hard to tell them apart until you cut one open to reveal their shape and flesh color.

The grocery store where I work, known for having tons of apple varieties, sells this variety as macintosh. They're crunchier and blander than a true mac, though. They didn't have that true "mac" taste to them either.

I have not tasted this variety. I am also having apple orchards. I wants know more about this variety and wants to know whether it can be grown in our climatic condition.
