Family owned and operated fruit stand selling 40 varieties of apples grown on site, picked fresh daily when possible. We also sell fresh pressed cider, plums, asian pears and frozen blueberries. Territorial Road Orchard was established in 2005 at an existing orchard that had been planted between about 1950 and 1995. The orchard is part of a 19th century farmstead that was owned by the Smith and Rickard families, and features an 1890 Italianate farmhouse. It is located about 4 miles south of downtown Corvallis on Oregon state highway 99W, which is the old Pacific Highway. Our orchard consists of about 100 trees, and includes a wide variety of apples, pears, and plums, as well as cherries and quince. We utilize organic and sustainable practices, though the orchard is not yet certified organic. Also included are four small market gardens and a large rose and lavender garden that is in development. Thomas Orchards has been growing fruit trees along the fertile banks of the North Fork of the John Day River, in Kimberly, Oregon, for 54 years. W.B. Thomas and his wife Emily started the Thomas Orchards in Kimberly in 1947. They purchased the Kimberly Orchards in 1967. Today Thomas Orchards and The Kimberly Fruit Company are still owned and operated by the Thomas family. Emily, sons John and Jim, and grandson Chuck, with their families, all live on the orchard grounds and take care of the daily farming operation. Daughter Alice runs a market for the fruit in Great Falls, Montana.  more>>
