Apples and cider are the heart of our business, and keeping our customers happy is part of our business, too. In addition to apples we have a from-scratch bakery, home-made fudge, hand-dipped ice cream, and applewood smoked chicken sandwiches. Visit our restful woodland garden and friendly farm animals; enjoy our train, playground, bamboo maze and rope barn. We open in mid-April with our greenhouse full of bedding plants and hanging baskets. In the fall, starting with our Scottish Highlander Festival, you can take a wagon ride to our U-Pick pumpkin patch. A 165 acre apple farm, featuring over 25 varieties of apples, 15 acres of pumpkins, and assorted vegetables. Celebrating our 20th Annual Heartland Apple Festival this year on October 7,8, and 14, 15. The market is housed in a Civil-War era barn, which is also home to the bakery and Cider Bar. Beasley's apple cider, made from an old family recipe, has won the first place honors at the Indiana State Cider contest for the past two years. The farm also features an 8 acre cornfield maze. Lee's Orchard began as Andrew and Willa Lee’s farm in Columbus, Indiana, as a young family homesteaded their acreage west of Columbus, Indiana in the 1960's. The farm originally included a large garden and a variety of fruit trees and berries for family use and was also home to a chicken coup and a small beef cattle herd kept on pasture, and over the years a pack of dogs, pigs, guinea hens, and even a goat (named Mollie) came and went from the farm. Andrew worked for Cummins engine company for most of his adult life, but loved the outdoors and made plans to retire to the farm which he converted to an orchard; growing apples, pears, peaches, cherries, and berries. Now his wife Willa, son Everitt, grandson Josh Lee, daughter Sherry, and cousins Mike and Eric Harper, work the orchard.  more>>

Our orchard is great for family outings. We have a restaurant(open seasonally); a petting zoo with a variety of farm animals; and the Apple Barn has our great produce as well as home decor, gifts and the Christmas room which is open all year. 2008 will be our first year in operation. I don't expect we'll have many apples this year or next at this location. However, we have another location that should provide a good number of Red Delicious, Golden Delicious and Granny Smith. If god is willing we will have these for sale at the Carithers location starting late July early August. We anticipate having a good number of Pumpkins, Blueberries and Asparagus there as well. This will be our first year for Peach trees so I dont anticipate any peaches this year. I'm sorry we won't have everything for sale that was listed for this year, however we wanted to let everyone know we are opening our orchard up to the public and wanted to invite you to come visit us.
