I have just found a new favorite apple! First year it produced in my organic heirloom apple orchard--and, wow, really delicious and crisp! Has just the right amount of sweet/tart tang, love it!

Regent is my favorite apple. They're sweet, but not too sweet, like I think Red Delicious are. They're crisp, but not as crisp & hard-fleshed as Honeycrisp. I enjoy eating them--I use other varieties to cook with, but I save my Regents to simply eat. :)

I was not impressed with the flavor for fresh use, just my opinion. However, I feel it makes the best apple pie I have ever eaten. Great apple for cooking.

Medium size fruit. Bright red over yellow. Very pleasing flavor and texture. Honeyed, plenty of acidity, crisp, crackling, juicy flesh. Cooked keeps shape, light flavor, sweet, fruity. Delicately flavored. Fruits store into the winter.
