Owner's comments

I'm in search of my favourite apple. I bought NY Golden Russet scion wood and grafted it upon an m9 rootstock. On paper this could be my favourite apple, but I have not tasted them at this moment. This year (2020) it is bearing small beginnings of apples. I have to protect it against insects and birds so my family and I can have a taste. I have a part of the pruned central leader grafted on my rubinola mother tree, just to make sure I can reproduce NY Golden russet if something goes wrong. I might graft more of these, if I decide to make cider.
