Picked too soon, they were perfect for my husband, who prefers his apples fairly tart. We waited a couple more weeks, then harvested one to try. It has better sweetness, but it tasted like store-bought apple juice. I seem to have missed the short window on my tree between too tart and too sweet. Husband and mom preferred the flavor, even when it was sweet.
