Owner's comments

The tree died from fire blight, damage occurred from a hail storm memorial weekend May 2018. It has been replace by a Sundance, planted spring 2019.

    Fireblight: Severe attack
    Tree was pruned in January to promote shape and leader. April 2018 height 5 feet 5 inches. Spread 2 feet. There will be a few blossoms this year, they have not opened as of April 29. Trunk wrap was removed April 29. Blossoms have started to open as of May 1. Fire Blight problem June after a hail storm, battled with major pruning due to shepherds crook and blight ooze et al, down to just the trunk. Lots of leaf growth, then streptomycin and Bonide orchard spray. Tree seemed to rally, but died.
