Owner's comments

This is the most vigorous growing tree in my orchard. I have had a lot of pest problems with the fruit, but the tree is otherwise very healthy from what I can observe. Very robust growth every year. Very few leaf problems. It has cropped heavily, but much of this is due to difficulty in thinning. As a result, the fruit has been small in size. The tree has gotten somewhat out of control and thus difficult to thin. In winter 2014 I will be in the second year of a two or three year plan to get the size and density back in control.

    Plum fruit moth: Mild attack
2016 was the first year I was able to start applying proper sprays to my orchard, but too late to prevent scaring my plum curculio. My Russets had a lot of bumps from early bites.
