This is a older mature Gravenstein tree that was planted by the original owners of our home in Oakland, CA, USA. It has been a good producer over the past 17 years since we met, and has taught me a bit about it's needs. This season we had a colder winter spell than usual for our region. Our Grav blossomed several weeks early and the usual mid August harvest also was a bit early, mid July. Wooly aphids appeared for the first time last season and I was proactive this year with soapy water
