Owner's comments

The apples are small, somewhat tart, soft and quite juicy. They are pretty and have improved in flavor each year. This is not a great apple for my yard because I don't have room to let it grow large enough for a cider crop, but it is a variety that I plan to keep. The tree is one of a group of four varieties planted close together in a square pattern, so it grows only over a quarter-circle.

The tree is described as biennial, and apparently this was it's year for a light crop. There were only 9 apples, but they were larger than in previous years although still on the small side.
