Soil:Extremely alkaline clay -- trees grown in area 1 foot above grade after soil washed. Rye grass and bermuda used as cover crops. 
Climate at this location:Intensely hot (115*+ 3 months of year). Severe wind frequent. Dry.
Pruning:Prune top to maintain size, prune interior to decrease windage
Tree form:Bush (wider at top than bottom)
Height:Between 6ft / 2m and 15ft / 4m

Local pests:unknown. So far, only rabbits. Had to bridge graft trees first year after rabbits girdled them

    6 year olds -- there are two. The one receiving water at least weekly is much larger although in partial shade -- and is the one noted above. The second is in more sun and less water and is about 2 feet shorter -- both are heavy bearers, and almost equivalent in fruit. Need thinning to develop size.
