I need to prune this tree before spring 2014. Advice welcome re pruning.Season records for this tree
2015
Spring blossom: 16 April2014
Harvest: 1st week September 20kg / 44lbs
Size: 2.0m / 6.7ft high 2.0m / 6.7ft wide
vigorously pruned in late winter 2014 and continued to cull apples starting late spring thru mid summer. Resulting harvest was wonderful - over a bushel of apples of substantial size. Just right for eating, quite juicy. Wish the Akane was a better keeper, but they are wonderful, slightly tart, firm, juicy sweet apples for several weeks after harvesting.
