Despite a generally terrible year for fruit (2012) this little tree has fared remarkably well. The blossom survived the late frosts ( mid May) and went on to set lots of fruit even though the weather meant there were few pollinators around. It being a young tree we removed lots of the fruit. Those allowed to mature ( not yet ready in mid October) are quite heavily russetted, highly coloured and healthy. They are of a good size. The tree itself looks very healthy, and has suffered less from the various moulds, pests etc that many of the other trees have been affected by this year.
