Owner's comments

Bacterial canker is becoming a significant problem, maybe our wet, cold non-Summer of 2012 contributed to this. In warmer conditions this must be a truly great apple, why don't we see it in shops, so much better than the ghastly Gala or Golden Delicious. One great fortune that we have for all the trees are numerous solitary bees and bumble bees to replace the disappearing honey bees.

Season records for this tree

    Size: 2.0m / 6.7ft high   3.0m / 10.0ft wide
Very vigorous growth but hampered by bacterial canker. Yield great but we are right at the Northern limits of this variety so some applle were superb but c40% were underripe as usual
