Owner's comments

Bit of scab for this first fruiting but heavy crop and most were good eating despite the scab. Our summer here was very wet, indeed it was wetter than usual so am hopeful for future years. Tree survived a very cold, long winter with temperatures as low as minus 20 celsius. For the tree's second and much milder winter I've improved the soil further around tree taking care not to cause any root disturbance and drainage is now much better.
