Owner's comments

Small neglected tree which crops profusely and needs heavy thinning of fruit most years to give a reasonable sized apple. The tree is at an angle and suffers from poor anchorage such that it will rock in the wind. I have pruned this tree to open out the centre, and will be propping it to help with stability. Relatively disease-free, and even avoided scab in the very wet 2008 season. Update: Lower branch stripped of bark by rabbit(s).
