What a beautiful little gem! Very sweet and packed with delicious complexity, which to me seems a good blend of Cox and russet flavors. My son says it tastes like a pear. I don't really see that, but to me it is apple candy! It has some tartness to help balance. Off the tree it is crisp and very juicy and would no doubt make a delicious sweet cider. Aromatic. Perfect size for eating out of hand -- or eat two or three if you desire! I fear it might be a short keeper, but I'll have no trouble eating a peck of these pretty quickly.

My golden nugget fruit is more conical and predominately yellow green than the pictures shown. It is very productive but subject to those corky spots. The skin is tough but if you take the time to peel it, it is crisp, crunchy and wonderfully flavorful apple and my favorite,

A small, broadly conical, long-stemmed predominately yellow fruit with orange streaks and splashes. Crisp, juicy flesh with extra sweet, rich, mellow flavor. Fine for eating out of hand, excellent for pies, sauce and apple butter. Short keeping life.
