Owner's comments

King of tompkins county is a very healthy tree. I ordered scion wood and grafted it onto an unknown but semi-dwarf rootstock. I just grafted one tree, and part of the pruned central leader is grafted onto my rubinola mother tree. I like aromatic apples. This tree has not carried a crop at this moment. It doesn't really matter, I have several other apple trees which are bearing fruits. I can wait. The King was grown in a 20 litres container and has been placed in a 50 litres container. I changed the soil (as an experiment, from potting soil to biological garden soil) It is to test if the apples become more aromatic with this kind of soil or not.
