Owner's comments
Nice tree, grows reasonably well. No diseases or pests. It is a two year well feathered maiden, with nice flowers. The fruits have been cut-off the tree, because I want the tree to put all its energy in growing its root system first, in order to produce, or set a proper crop in the near future (3 years). This tree is a kind of experiment. Instead of using mycorrhiza, I used Cantharellus cibarius as a root growing fungus. It must function as a symbiont for this tree. The worst case would be, I might have apples on the tree and some cantharells growing around the tree, which leads to a double harvest. If all goes well, I might do it on other trees I have in a container first, allowing me to experiment a little more.Season records for this tree

There are some caterpillars nibbling at the leafs of my rubinette rosso. Don't know what kind of caterpillar it is. Might be codlin or plum moth. Really beautiful blossoms, lightly pink great scent. Nice to watch.2018
Spring blossom: 4 May
I have grafted Rubinette rosso on a Rubinola and I have it as a tree in a container. Both are doing well and are blossoming abundantly, with deep pink blossom when closed and lighter pink when blossom is open. The open blossoms is softly fragrant. This year I expect some apples and my family will have a go with these apples.2017
Spring blossom: 28 April
Size: 1.5m / 5.0ft high 1.5m / 5.0ft wide
Going to let this tree bloom and let it set fruit this year;to try some of the fruits is is going to produce. Grafted a cutting of the red rubinette on top of a rubinola, the growth of the wood is quit astonishing.
