Owner's comments

This is an old tree, growing near the fence of a property that was divided along that line circa 1910 and, prior to that, might have been part of an orchard (possibly fruit and nut). The tree was neglected for an unknown number of years before late 2012. It has been professionally pruned twice since then and now appears to be doing quite well.

The tree was in desperate need of pruning when I moved to the property in 2012. That was done (by professional arborists), and so there were only a few blooms in the spring, and the fruit (2) dropped early.
