Planted last years whip12/1/13 purchased from Big Horse Creek Farm. Plan to grow this one as a goblet, but I have not pruned it and as it has a reputation for being a rather dwarfish tree on its own I may just let it be what it wants. I would recommend Big Horse Creek to anyone, good pricing, nice stock and kind people. Two of the three whips I purchased from them had blossoms this year! All I can think is last spring was pretty happy to let these girls decide to blossom at such a tiny size. You're welcome to think I'm tripping but apples decide very early in the season what next seasons plan is so two 30" whips with blossoms speaks to pretty good conditions in the nursery.
