Owner's comments

This tree took 11 years before it had a great amount of apples to be able have apples to use for preserves. The tree started to bloom the 3rd year we had planted the tree. The tree produce 3 to 20 apples in the years following. This is the first year to claim to actually have a crop. We did not have another early season tree, but we have a mid season tree that also took just as long to consider it a producing tree. Patience is the key to having a great tart with a little sweet, firm, very juicy, pie or sauce apple at the end of August. After a couple of weeks the apples become soft and a little sweeter; this is the time to make apple juice.
