Owner's comments
bought this as a maiden whip from the Womack Nursery in De Leon,TX . Because it is supposed to be a good pollinizer for the other plums in our orchard.Season records for this tree
2016
Spring blossom: 10 March
Size: 4.0m / 13.3ft high 2.5m / 8.3ft wide
many blooms and also the main pollinator for the Plums in the orchard2015
Spring blossom: 4 March
Size: 2.5m / 8.3ft high 1.5m / 5.0ft wide
Beautilful bloom season-looked like a popcorn bouquet but 3 separate freezes mixed with rain killed fruit set... :( However, the old Methley Plum tree we planted in another section of the property in 1999 set fruit (planted in a protected "bowl" in the valley)
