Owner's comments

I bought this tree because I was visiting Bowman orchards each year, and picking a ton of theirs. There seems to be less and less each year at the orchard, so I decided on a medium tree for my yard. This tree is paired with a crabapple in my front yard for pollination. The flavor can be described as crisp, freshly firm and almost a cinnamony/nutmeg spicy undertones. Spicy is the best way to describe it. Its an umami Macintosh. Very savory, its hard to eat just 1. Im about 12 weeks in since planting, my parents and friend have apple scab on Snowsweet, Liberty and Macouns but I do not with this tree, currently untreated but will have organic pesticides next year when it starts cropping.
