Owner's comments

I bought the tree at a nursery in the Los Angeles area but it was mislabelled "Spartan.' But when the time to pick approached I identified it as a Granny Smith. I live near the Joshua Tree area in Southern california.

    Spring blossom: 14 April
    The blossoms are in fair quantity and look healthy. The original blossom openings started on April 1.

    Spring blossom: 14 April
    The season was quite windy on the h-desert and some blossoms were torn off.

    Harvest: 1st week August
    There was only one apple left from bird attacks. So I harvested early.
