Begin in early 80's, later became known as home of the Scarlett Gala (patented father J.V, Creech) now deceased. Terry quit coal mining in 1989 to go full-time as apple grower. THe orchard consists of 20 acres on Black MT with altitude of 4125 and 8 acres in valley. Also has roadside market and sell to Food City grocery Chain in KY-VA-TN 2 County school Systems.
