Owner's comments

only the second year we have lived with this tree. Our neighbour tells us it is approximately 70 years old! 2009 was a much smaller crop than this year. So will be interested to see what happens in 2011. However, with the very hard winter we had 2009/2010 it would seem that our Newton Wonder is following the trend of most other flowers, trees and bushes this year seems to have been generally exceptional. I think the hard winter kick started Nature and its seasons here again after so many warm, wet winters prior to the last one. 2011 Lots of blossom to one side of tree this spring. Was pruned on 7.3.2011 for the first time in 30 years, so we shall see what this year brings.
