    Harvest: 1st week September  20kg / 44lbs

vigorously pruned in late winter 2014 and continued to cull apples starting late spring thru mid summer. Resulting harvest was wonderful - over a bushel of apples of substantial size. Just right for eating, quite juicy. Wish the Akane was a better keeper, but they are wonderful, slightly tart, firm, juicy sweet apples for several weeks after harvesting.
