Owner's comments

Planted potted Yellow Transparent tree from a local nursery in fall 2010 (bought for $5 at their end-of-the season clearance). Bloomed heavily in spring of 2011, and set fruit very well. Thinned to one per cluster, and still got quite a few. The tree grew very well, has an upright habit, and produced a nice early season apple (that kept a lot longer than anticipated; well over two months in the fridge). Early heat wave in 2012 led to an early bloom. Hard freeze killed all flowers. Very hot and dry year, very poor growth.
