All about apples, pears, plums, and cherries - and orchards where they are grown

Avalon plum

Development of new plum varieties has lagged behind that of apples and cherries, but Avalon is an excellent example of how growers are starting to improve on the traditional English Victoria plum.  Avalon is a Victoria-style plum, with  a good strong sweet plum flavour.

Absolutely amazing crop in only its second season. Huge to say the least and the flavour is to die for. Says it all.
