Very old tree on our farm planted by my husband's grandmother. Not sure when tree was planted but grandparents lived there from 1923 to 1971. It was a fully mature tree when we moved there in 1971 and my husband remembers the tree being there during his childhood. Most of the tree blew over in the late 1980's during a storm, but grew back from a shoot and the fruit remained true to its original characteristics. Very good eating apple, sweet, crunchy & juicy. It is our grown son's favorite.
