Owner's comments

this is our earliest bloomer - and tends to get hit by frost, or it's too cold for the bees to work much. We get a crop (light) every second year or so. Nice apple, but nothing particularly amazing about it. I'll keep it a few more years to see if when it's bigger it crops better, but if not, then it'll be pulled out. Winters here are long, have 3 to 6 feet of snow, and temperatures vary, with average of -8 to -15 degrees C., about 10 to 15 days will see -20 to -25 degrees C., and there is usually a damp northwesterly wind off the lakes.
