Owner's comments

This tree looked old when we bought the house 30+ years ago. It has produced fruit every year but alternate years the crop is heavier. We found the apples taste better lightly cooked with the skins left on. Another apple variety (unknown) grows from some of the branches. This started to happen about 20 years ago after a heavy prune. We've only pruned it once since.
