Owner's comments

Another tree bought in remeberance of my grandfather. It has had a hard life so far, first of all a builder broke off the central leader about 6 years ago, then this year we had to move it, this was when we discovered that the roots had never escaped from the spiral "pot bound" shape. Despite that it has produced some large apples in the past, we haven't let it fruit this year. I hope it survives this latest ordeal.
