Sale of semi-mature fruit trees from Scotts Nurseries
We have been contacted by the family of the owners of the former Scotts Nursery, in Somerset, England, which ceased trading last year. They have a large number of semi-mature fruit trees, including many interesting varieties, which are being sold in a clearance sale.

The fruit trees are mainly “standards” on M25 or equivalent rootstocks, and are believed to be about 7 years old. The trees are healthy, but have obviously been neglected for the last few years, some have rabbit damage and most need some pruning.
Please note that transplanting semi-mature fruit trees is not as straightforward as with the 1-year bare-root fruit trees usually sold by fruit tree nurseries. Our sister website Orange Pippin Fruit Tree Shop has further advice on transplanting semi-mature fruit trees.
The table below lists the approximate availability by fruit tree variety as at the end of August 2010 - there is an updated list on our fruit tree shop website.
