Located on Mass Rt 295, between Rt 22 (NY) and Rt 41 (Mass), just 10 minutes from Tanglewood. From the Mass Pike, the Orchard is 8 miles North -- take Exit 1 to Rt 41N to Rt 295W. From NY Thruway the orchard is 5 miles north -- take Exit B3 to Rt 22N to Rt295E. Hilltop Orchards offers the most extensive pick-your-own apple program in Berkshire County. Beginning in late August with Lodi and Jersey Mac varieties, the pick-your-own season extends to Columbus Day weekend. Always call for specific varietal availability. Free tractor hay rides on the weekends. Hilltop is the largest producer of fresh apple cider in Berkshire County. All cider is flash pasteurized, and is bottled with no preservatives. Furnace Brook Winery is located at Hilltop Orchards, specializing in apple "cidre" in the Normandy style, as well as a range of Northeast varietal wines: Chardonnay, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir and Sparkling Blanc de Blancs. Home of the original Johnny Mash American Hard Cider. Products / Fruit Grown
Over 20 varieties of Northeast regional apples are grown at Hilltop Orchards. The orchard is noted for its cool and crisp micro-climate that results in outstanding Macoun, Honeycrisp and Fuji eating apples. Traditional McIntosh, Cortland, Golden Russet, Northern Spy and many others are available.Three varieties of Italian prune plums are grown. Pear varieties are Clapp, Bartlett and Anjou.
