Glockenapfel apple

Glockenapfel is a very old apple, still grown quite widely in central Europe, and particularly Switzerland. It is primarily a cooking apple, and is the traditional variety used for Apple Strudel.
It is thought to get its name from the characteristic bell-like shape.
